Hansa Mixer is one of the world’s leading providers of foam mixers, aerators and more for the food and non-food industries.
Our foam mixers do a top-class job across numerous industries:
Over 2,000 customers across more than 120 countries trust our expertise, built up over almost 40 years, in the production of foam mixers, aerators, in-line dosing systems and in-line compounding systems of the highest quality, coupled with our comprehensive service. Most of the over 5,000 foam mixers and other systems that we have produced to date in Stuhr, near Bremen, are still in daily use today. Engineering made in Germany!
This success is based on our Hanseatic quality philosophy. The development of new foam mixers, aerators, in-line dosing systems, etc. is always based on our ‘Engineering made in Germany’ philosophy. A highly skilled team of 55 experts develops the mixing systems using the latest technology and only the highest-quality machine parts. Our suppliers are also selected according to the strictest quality criteria. To ensure the highest-possible quality of all foam mixers, in-line compounding systems and other systems, all of our business processes are certified according to ISO 9001.
To stay a step ahead of the market for foam mixers, pressure aerators, in-line dosing systems, etc., we invest intensively in research and development. This applies both to continuous in-house training and close collaboration with research institutes and technical colleges. Research projects are also becoming increasingly important, which we run in cooperation with partners such as Syntegon Technology, BASF, Henkel and other individual branches of industries. Here, our engineering experts meet with experts in process engineering. The synergies enable us to produce highly customised foam mixers, aerators, in-line compounding systems or complete systems, and thus continue to meet the constantly growing demands of our customers in the future.
1967 The story of Hansa Mixer begins under the name Hansa Werke Bremen, as the company manufactures chemical products. Its customers include an engineering division for foam mixers in the carpet industry. This leads to the gradual establishment of our own production department for foam mixers.
1984 Due to the continuing success with foam mixers, the engineering company Hansa Industrie-Mixer GmbH & Co. KG, or Hansa Mixer for short, is founded on 12 June. The company's headquarters relocates from Bremen to the nearby town of Stuhr in Lower Saxony.
1985 Under the guidance of new managing director and partner Manfred Hörmann, the first foam mixers are sold to other European countries.
1986 The food industry hears about and purchases the first aerators from Hansa Mixer.
1991 Business grows and soon the first foam mixers from our company are being used in the USA.

1996 Exports now make up 60% of our sales.
1997 Hansa Mixer moves into new industries and supplies the adhesive industry with foam mixers for the first time.
2000 The innovation of in-line compounding with Various-Mix conquers the market and meets a wide range of requirements in a single unit.
2004 The company has now outgrown its production facilities in Stuhr, so expansion work is carried out.
2008 The production site in Stuhr is expanded again.
2009 The Pico-Mix laboratory mixer gives new impetus to the market.

Everything we do is with the goal of meeting all of our customers’ requirements and, where possible, exceeding their expectations of our foam mixers and other systems. This is the only way in which we can lay claim to, and further build upon, our leading position in the market. To continue doing this every day, our company follows four strategic goals – based on the values that all of our employees live and breathe:
1. Top performance
Development of optimal machines and systems as well as customer-orientated after-sales service.
2. Organisational efficiency
Clearly structured, rapid and reliable work processes.
Mutual appreciation in a spirit of open and fair cooperation.
Healthy growth based on a realistic assessment of opportunities and risks.
The high quality of our foam mixers, aerators and dosing systems is the result of meticulous management. All business processes at Hansa Mixer are subject to constant monitoring and are certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 – from product development to after-sales service.
To further optimise our processes, we make sure that everything we do is up to date and fit for purpose. We systematically follow the applicable standards in our customers’ industries. In addition, the constant dialogue in which we engage with our customers, our production department and our certified suppliers is also integral in the continuous improvement of our foam mixers and other systems.
Every foam mixer, pressure aerator or dosing system we produce is tested down to the finest detail by our skilled employees before it is delivered. Our test procedures are stringent and we comply with all European machine guidelines. Our customers can therefore count on the consistent quality associated with ‘Made in Germany’ at all times, wherever they are in the world.
Price is important, but it is not the be-all and end-all. We want our partner companies to identify with our goals and our customers’ needs. The basis for choosing a supplier is therefore the quality of the products, reliability of services and a passion for a long-term collaboration. After all, our customers expect that we will still be able to provide replacement parts for foam mixers, aerators and dosing systems in ten years’ time – promptly and with our customary high quality.
